Sergey Alexandrovich Napolskikh

Sergey Napolskikh has 25 years of experience in metallurgical and mining enterprises. He started his career in 1997 at EVRAZ.
Here he rose through the ranks from Chief Surveyor to Managing Director of a mining and processing plant. He was directly involved in the implementation of programs
and projects to increase ore mining and processing volumes from 48 to 57 million tons per year.
For the last 8 years, Sergey worked at NLMK, where he managed the Ore Division and was previously General Director of Stoilensky GOK. Under his leadership, ore volumes were increased by 6 million tons per year, the mining transportation scheme in the open pit was changed, and the crushing and beneficiation department and pelletizing plant were reconstructed to increase production and ore processing.
Sergey Napolskikh has extensive experience in implementing operational efficiency programs, developing production systems, and organizing processes aimed at increasing productivity.

Company history
The history of Sokolovsko-Sarbai Mining and Processing Production Association, a part of ERG, began on June 30, 1954 with the exploration and development of the huge iron ore reserves of Bolshoi Turgai.
This deposit became the basis for the largest enterprise in Kazakhstan and the Commonwealth of Independent States to produce iron ore pellets and iron ore concentrate, a high-quality raw material for blast furnace production.

On February 12, pilot M.G. Surgutanov discovered the Sarbaiskoye field, in June the detachment of geophysicist V.L. Nosikov discovered the Sokolovskoye field.1956
On May 14, the USSR Council of Ministers approved the SSGOC construction project. On June 30, the USSR Council of Ministers authorized the start of construction of SSGOK. On July 7, Nikolay Faddeyevich Sandrigailo was appointed Director of the plant by order of the USSR Ministry of Chermet of the USSR.1955
On January 13, overburden stripping works started at the Sokolovskoe open pit. The first bucket of overburden was shipped by Alexander Popov, driver of a one cubic meter diesel excavator. April. The first train with waste rock taken out of the Sokolov quarry by rail on a steam locomotive traction. May. The trust "Sokolovrudstroy" - the general contractor of the plant - was organized.1956
